About

Hi, I’m Sarah (she/her)…founder of Green Moon Coaching

I have experience in managing community projects, in charity management and project development and as a children and families social worker.  I have experienced the passion and drive to commit to this work and to face the challenges and pressures that can arise, I have burnt out, felt lost and taken the journey back to work that is aligned with my values, my strengths and is true to the life I want to lead.

I am a One of Many (TM) Certified Women’s Coach and I offer coaching programmes to women, with a particular interest with women in wellbeing business.

I am a Mindful Chest/Breastfeeding Practitioner and offer ante-natal and post-natal services.  Green Moon Circle is a free community meeting weekly offering informal, peer based support with guest speakers and mindfulness practice.

I have a nearly 3 year old son, our feeding journey had it’s ups and downs…pain, biting, aversion and unplanned weaning! We also enjoyed the closeness, the convenience and the comedy that goes along with it.

In a previous life I was a Local Authority social worker, 2003-2012 in the London Borough of Southwark, I worked in Child Protection, Adoption and Looked After Children’s teams. In 2013 I was part of the team to set up Rees Foundation a charity for care experienced people and worked there first as CEO and later as Project Development Manager for the Community Cafe’s until 2020. The experiences I had in this work is the basis for my passion to offer specialist coaching for people with foster care or residential care experience. Green Moon Coaching will work with Local Authorities to provide coaching or direct to individuals and in time we will have scholarship style places on coaching programmes..so supporting Green Moon Coaching will in turn support our care experienced community to access coaching when they need it most.

I have taken part in Abeula Doulas Cultural Competency Workshop and Queer Birth Club LGBTQ+ Competency Workshop in 2021 to support my journey of ally ship. Personally and Professionally I am committed to doing this work and to provide inclusive services that demand equality and accountability of me and my peers.

I am a Mental Health First Aider and have CLEAR DBS check (dated March 2021).

My values are:

Community

Sharing knowledge and experience, Inclusivity, connection, contribution and commitment.

Creativity

Independence, expression, progression and happiness.

Empowerment

Lifting people up, progress and change, growth, authenticity and independence.
